I am desperate to find some makeovers for ugly bathrooms that come with rentals - like sticking with the "apartment" part of AT.

We're a military family and we have moved to various military houses all across the country. Without exception, the bathrooms are just plain ugly. How does one transform worn oak cabinets with brass handles and vinyl flooring without getting into trouble when we leave?

Our style leans to minimalism/mid century modern/Scandinavian so the whole sew-a-curtain-around-the-base-of-the-sink like some of our friends do just isn't our thing. Is there some sort of cheap flooring or cabinet possibilities people have seen done?

We bought these for our three daughters when we were in Amsterdam last year. They are awesome, but none of them has the heart to break them. They all urge each other to break their own chicken, but none of them will do it before the other. I'm tempted to sneak in their rooms and do it myself. I can't stand the suspense!

Seriously? Those paperweights are so tacky. In what universe is calling you a Mom I'd Like to F*** a compliment? I stopped feeling good about myself when guys said I was "f***able" in high school.

Our daughter's friends have told her she has a MILF and DILF for parents. Poor kid! If that isn't horrifying, I don't know what is.

I can't imagine proudly labeling ourselves as such. No thanks.
