I have a vintage mid-century rocker identical this, and I didn't use it for baby at all. It was too low, especially after a c-section, and too laid back to comfortably nurse. It ended up just holding stuffed animals in the room. Affordable Mid-Century Style Rocker | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

I did it with the knappa lamp. it has worked out well for us, it's over our dining room table. the only issue is it ends up hanging lower. So if you don't mind a lower light...it works. i thought about hanging a hook from the ceiling to give it a little more support at the arch of the stand. my brother borrowed my brand new camera to go to France. He ended up taking video with it in an open cockpit plane, either the velocity or grit got into it and locked up the whole lens from coming in and out. It came back useless.
