totally agree. We went to the first time with our large extended family to a 3star at best Mexican resort catering to families. The dated yellow duvet cover and no-spa on site were a complete afterthought as we were relaxed, eating grilled burgers in wet swimsuits each night and really enjoying ourselves and the setup. Never in a million years would I have thought we would have liked it considering the luxurious places we have previously stayed at. We love our hemnes daybed from Ikea. It has been used as a place for me to pass out in the nursery after late night feeds, and it has also been used as a guest bed for us. We did the same when we moved from Brisbane to Chicago -- sold all we owned and we were able to travel for 8 months off of it! Best decision we ever made. I am glad to see this posted - I know SO many moms who try do a "gender neutral" nursery that inevitably swings the wrong way (too feminine for a boy, too masculine once little girl arrives) and want to change it.
