I've read that neem oil spray does the trick. Also, someone advised me that watering my plants from the bottom (allowing the plants to soak up water) would prevent pests. I haven't tried either, however, so not sure how well they work. How To Get Rid Of House Plant Gnats? Good Questions |

If you have access to Ikea, I would suggest checking out their stainless steel kitchen shelving. It's inexpensive, easy to install, and looks very polished. Storage Suggestions For Our Open Kitchen? Good Questions |

Love your place! I don't at all get the feeling of coldness like others have commented. To me, the openness, light, and lack of clutter feel delightfully comfortable.
