I tend to just fix things as they arise but once a month, I try to make a list of what major projects I want to accomplish. Sometimes, it's just dusting, which is a major project since I hate it, other times its building more shelves. I also like to save up money for projects that I want to really get done. Like on this one, I spent weeks collecting the crates when I had coupons so I never had to pay full price. http://thefirstapartment.blogspot.com/2011/05/50-dollar-fix-side-bookshelf.html Planning pays off sometimes!

The Well-Stocked Home: From Towels to Sheets

My worst story about moving- is about shipping. I had baked my boyfriend a beautiful kings cake and apparently the post office though my powdered sugar was cocaine or anthrax or something. They destroyed it and it was late! The whole post is here http://thefirstapartment.blogspot.com/2011/03/how-to-not-ship-something.html
It was quite an adventure, next time I will make him buy his own powdered sugar!

What's Your Worst Moving Horror Story?
8/2/11 9:44 AM

I like all the looks, it's just very difficult to paint in my apartment complex, they tend to frown upon it. A lot of times, people switch housing every year in college thus some of this stuff is too much to worry about if you move every 9 months. I started my blog as a way to decorate on the cheap while in college, and I think I have come up with some innovative ideas while keeping on a budget!
