I know that it is still plastic, but we use the Food Saver system. Our food lasts longer in the freezer and you can customize the bag size so there is no wasted space. Other than that I love Pyrex, with glass lids and or plastic lids. I do not put any plastic in the dishwasher, and I never put re purposed glass jar lids in the dishwasher.
