We had great neighbors in my old neighborhood. We begged them to move with us when we had to upsize due to the pending birth of our first child. My current neighbors are fine, but too nosy. The wife ALWAYS follows my car into the garage. She knocks on my window even before I finish parking the car. She always wants to know what we are doing, when, with whom, what time, etc . . . The husband is always shirtless and in his Speedos when he really shouldn't be. They did not own a lawnmower, so we mowed part of their lawn for few years. They finally hired a service last summer. It could be a lot worse, but after having such wonderful neighbors, this one def. does not even compare.

Super cute, but def. a fire hazard w/ the fire pit in an enclosed porch sitting on top of a rug?!?!?!?! I hope they are going to burn pillar cadles in the pit instead.

Ikea cabinets are surprisingly well built. My husband and I remodeled my parents' kitchen 5 years ago and they are still in great condition. We did the installation ourselves and it went very smoothly. All you have to do it level the long bracket bar and the cabinets just slide right in! We had around 300+ pcs/ boxes delivered, so it was pretty daunting to look at. However once we started assembling the cabinets, it went surprisingly fast. I def. recommend them for the quality and easy assembly/ installation.

I just refinished my bathroom remodel and I installed white penny tiles in the walk in shower floor. It isn't any harder to clean than any other tile. It's porcelain and very comfortable on the feet. Once installed you do not see as much grout as you think. I got mine from Artistic Tile and it is very affordable, less than $8 per sq ft.

Definitely shoes off, BUT I do not make a big stink if someone does not take it off when they are over only because I don't want them to feel attacked. That said, I find it incredibly disgusting that people wear shoes in the house. You have NO idea how gross the bottom of your shoes is. Even though I don't make a big stink about people entering my house with shoes on, I also find it rude seeing that everyone who enters my house knows that I have a shoe-less policy. I have had people track in dog poop, mud, gum, leaves inside the house when I have crawling babies. People have also made gouges and deep scratches in my wooden floor by digging their heels which I cannot fix unless I rip out my wooden floor.

If the wood is in good condition, I would keep the wood and just cover the seats in red/ orange/ blue/ kelly green fabric. I would go for stripes, chevron or some pattern and not solid fabric. If you must pain the chairs, I vote a funky color like orange/ red/ yellow and not white. Also depends on if you use the table w/o the cloth and what the table looks like underneath.

I bought some IKEA towels for my guest bath and they are HORRIBLE. It sheds lint like crazy and there's a huge ball of lint in my washer AND in the lint trap in the dryer even after 6 months. Sames goes for their bathroom rug. I have since discarded and replaced them with towels from TJMaxx.
