I too did the cleanse from the book "Clean" and found it has totally changed my eating habits for the better, I realized I have a sensitivity to foods that I did not know about and it make me feel more energetic. The recipes in the book were great and I enjoyed trying some new things. Can Food Lovers Really Survive a Cleanse? |

fresh squeezed is really worth it for baking and I can't imagine a gin and tonic without a fresh wedge of lime. I have tried the store bought stuff (for baking, would never allow it to pollute my G&t)and I just don't like the taste at all. Fresh Squeezed Juice: An Essential or a Luxury? |

I always use Starbucks via, I did not realize there was a difference between this and espresso powder, I will have to try the espresso powder although it us hard to find here, and I really like the via, I do always use more than the recipe calls for but only because I really like coffee flavor. I have used it in 101cookbooks espresso banana muffins and they are always great. Don't Have Espresso Powder? Try These Substitutes |

I freeze shortbread logs all the time and they always work well, and are so convenient, as far as freezing the actual cookie I have never done it with cookies but have had success with power bars (101 cookbooks big sur bars What's Better For Freezing — Cookies or Cookie Dough? Good Questions |

I am going to try the ratatouille recipe from this week, I cannot remember ever eating eggplant so this will be something different for me, also I have a recipe from the kitchn awhile back; rosemary brown butter cookies. And my new favorite salad from the italian dish the farro salad in which I use barley instead of farro, one of these days I will have to find some farro to try. What's Cooking This Weekend?
