A 3rd floor studio in a turn of the century walk-up with huge 6 foot tall windows across teh front that overlooked a beautiful "best address" Dupont Circle building in DC. The street was wide and the building across the street was stunning. At night all the windows would be glowing. My building had a fire escape that I would crawl out onto at night. I'd sit there with a glass of wine enjoying the city sounds unbeknownst to everyone passing that someone was up there.....it was a secret spot right in the middle of everything. What great memories.

You could also use wood onlays (typically used in wood working applications such as fireplaces, etc.).......easy to install and you can make he "headboard" any size you like.

I love this room. Even though the colors are softer, there's significant high contrast stimulation for the baby to enjoy. The blue/white rug. Alternating yellow/white on the walls. The black/white pops on the shade, throw and poof.

wow....what a surprise. A wee. modest building opens up to be a bright, spacious, smart workspace.

Perhaps, your OUT box should be for out of the apartment and not an IN box for the basement. You seem to be stalling. You need to make concrete yes and no decisions. But, if you must put something in the basement, you should bring something OUT of the basement, as well. Perferably, a larger amount of stuff. Otherwise, your basement issue will only grow and become worse than it already is. Just a suggestion. Good luck!
