For my wedding we picked a few cocktails form our going-out history; one based on a dark and stormy (ginger beer and rum) we had during a fantastic dinner out in Manhattan, and a tea punch based on one we had in London. Unique but Crowd-Pleasing Signature Wedding Cocktails? Good Questions |

When my husband and I were living in England, it took longer than I'd care to admit to FIND the eggs at the grocery store - out with the bread! I'll usually try to keep eggs however I found them - if they got to me unrefridgerated, I'll keep them that way, and vice-versa for refridgerated eggs. Is Refrigerating Eggs Necessary? |

In the small town where I grew up, there were no tortilleria or even crummy grocery store tortillas to be had, so I would always get this for making tortillas. For Corn Tortillas to Tamales: Masa Harina Ingredient Spotlight |

I think (and not to disagree, because for ME, I totally agree with the pans = equipment) that it depends on your kitchen needs whether someone might consider something a gadget versus equipment. In particular, it makes me think of the slap chop, which I initially thought was just the silliest thing - until I realized it's what my grandmother uses to chop nearly everything (along with her mezzaluna) because it's harder for her to use a knife anymore. For me, definitely a gadget I don't need, but for Grandma Lucy, essential equipment! The Best & Worst Gadgets: America's Test Kitchen's Gadget Guru Tells All |

I got married a few weeks ago, and used MyRegistry (we're Canadian so I ended up setting up a Kinek account to save people from having to pay crazy shipping/customs fees), and it was perfect. Setting Up a Newlywed Home: 5 Modern Gift Registries |

Growing up with regular Jif-style peanut butter, we always kept it in the cupboard - but now that I've switched to an organic almond butter (like the serparating oil variety mentioned) I keep it in the fridge. Do You Have to Refrigerate Peanut Butter? Good Questions |

I really love to have an apple corer - it's a much tidier way of making my nana's "apple doughnuts" (cored apple, sliced, with cinnamon and sugar). If I were one to buy pineapple more often, I think that one would be handy too, but I just don't think I would use it enough to be worth it! I was lucky to have my mum take care of me when I had mine out, so she made sure to be switching it up with lots of different things! Roasted squash, mashed sweet potato, mashed turnip, apple sauces, rice pudding, creamy soups. And ice cream of course! I'm sure there is some reccomendation about not having too many sugary things, so all of the vegetables really help balance it out. Help! I'm Getting My Wisdom Teeth Out. This is so cool! And I appreciate the safety police, but I think @Dave the Land Pirate and @BCT are right, it would function as a great teaching tool - by being able to learn not to touch a burner with a fake burner, it's lesson you might not have to learn with a real one!
