I love my mom's tree hall. It's the homiest part of home. You can tell who's home before you've even stepped foot in just from the keys hanging. And you;ll never have to wonder where that umbrella (you haven;t needed for the last 3 months) is.

maybe omnipresent or ubiquitous was the word ya wanted. But if this chair in either form really was ubiquitous I would pack up and move somewhere else

As an American..., jk I would start a sentence so pretentiously.
But I do live in the US and my washer/dryer is in my kitchen too. Having one in my home is a must, but I can't see myself giving up square footage I could use in important rooms...rooms I will use more than once a week for it.
Looks fine alongside its appliance brethren.

spoon rest gets rinsed or scrubbed and put right back on stovetop. my ocd wouldn't allow that to happen with a saucer or plate or whatevs.

@ fenrir, periodicals aren't exactly books, are they? I wouldn't start a shrine for "5 flat belly secrets that work" anytime soon.
Also, I agree that arbitrary pricing is laughable. Maybe they forgot to move a decible...? Not for my house but one of those super eclectic urban-outfitters looking homes, this would look great. Maybe see more use as an ottoman

On my first trip to IKEA -8hrs away- I bought tons of stuff. but my favorite find was the VÄNLIG Glass sets $4 for a pack of 6. 2 toddlers and a million tip-overs later and they're still in top shape. WINNING!
