It took me awhile to get my head around this space but once I got there I think it's brilliant. Love the canopy bed with 'closet' space behind. Not quite as chaotic as the pictures first appeared. Are they wine bottles hidden up in the rafters of the kitchen?

Even if the footprint is small, you have the advantage of a larger space and can do all the things that would overwhelm a low ceilinged space.
As everyone else has mentioned take advantage of the height to hang some great lighting, larger pieces of art and use colour on the walls.
Congratulations on being brave enough to take your parents on as clients. I'm impressed.

Make sure you double check how it will go in your area. It's a horrible noxious weed in some parts of the world. Likes warmth and water so it spreads via waterways choking them in the process.
If you're in a cold enough place for it not to be an issue, I envy you. The flowers are very pretty.

As others have said, in an open plan office this should be a must have.
Also great for hands free phone calls or conference calls when multi tasking in the background.

Love it. Great idea for getting some colour into what looks like a dark spot. I particularly like how you've set out the colours. Stronger colours in the light, pale colours in the shade. Works well and looks like the dogs like it too!

Command hooks are great, never any problem removing them.
I use the cable management hooks but thread rods through them to hang cloths in the laundry, might work for ties. Just use enough to take the load. They're not too ugly, just little white bumps.

I've been using induction for several years and would never go back. As a former bad cook, it's made my cooking much better as I can judge timing and heat with accuracy. It's also a plus in a tiny kitchen as the stove becomes a benchtop, even when your cooking. Just make sure you buy the best pots you can afford as heating time in some pots can be very slow, if they don't create enough magnetic field.

When we had 2 dogs (siblings), if they were inside they were only allowed in an old suitcase that was their inside 'kennel'. Now we're down to one geriatic old lady, she sneaks in an sleeps somewhere on the floor at the end of the bed. She usually remembers to sneak back to the couch (another concession) before we wake up.

Neccessities: knives, towels, sheets, mattress, showerhead etc (I'd sooner give up chocolate & wine than live without those)

Luxuries:
Good knife sharpener
Induction Cooktop - you can use it as bench space at the same time as cooking - great for a small kitchen
Husband that irons and cooks (should that be under the necessity list)
