Agree - We have the Malm in our bedroom since birth and have never had a problem with my now 3 yo son getting hurt. In fact, because it is so low to the ground, I actually think it's safer than most because he has fallen off of it a couple of times (jumping, rolling) and was not hurt at all

It's so interesting that the things that are challenges one day can turn into something positive. I keep thinking about our situation. My husband and I really enjoyed our 20s. So much so that getting married and buying a house were far from our minds. We moved cities a couple times, quit jobs on a whim, maxed out credit cards, etc. Cut to our 30s, and we settled down and both had good jobs. Our son was born in 2008. We were really happy, except we hated being renters still. It felt like home ownership was the one passage to adulthood that we were missing. So we did everything we could to finally pay off those credit cards (used for things that were long gone, and unnecessary to begin with) used our tiny savings, got loans (and gifts) from parents and grandparents and took advantage of the down market in 2009 and the first time homebuyers tax credit. We were able to buy a 3-bedroom townhouse instead of the 2-bed condos we thought were in our budget. We also got a great deal because the previous owners had 2 contracts fall through and were desperate to sell. Now we are in the fortunate position with another baby on the way of having that extra room we weren't planning on. I keep thinking of how we would be getting by if we had put an offer on one of the tiny 2-beds that we had looked at - we would be desperate to get out but unable to sell. Of course things do change, and we are facing my husband's job possibly being eliminated, but hopefully cutting back and being frugal will keep us on the positive side of this market. For those in tight spots - stay positive! Things do change!

Are the ledges behind the sofa also from Room & Board? What length are they? I love the size.
