oh, I feel your pain. . .no use in getting anything nice until the dog is past the naughty years.. then a solid wearing out is always in order.

my couch has also fallen victim. . RIP couch. ..I'd start checking craigslist for a new couch.

I like the we, it's very inclusive. . I imagine a wee (pun intended) little team of AT people all discovering things and doing things together ALL the time. . but I do agree with the others: when you start diving into personal stories. . you gotta drop the "we spend all our time at our boyfriends house". . .who? you and all of AT? you and your dog? you and your multiple personalities?

not impressed. . easy to match black/white/red. . .not to mention they only have ONE piece of retro furniture, where I think most of us out there have more vintage pieces than new modern pieces. . not to mention they have a whole inventory of products to choose from and no budget. . . not impressed. . that wasn't a how to at all. .

anyone know where the first picture cube's are from? the inserts are ikea. . I know that, but the actual structure doesn't look ikea. . anyone know anything about it?

unless your house is being photographed for "better homes and gardens", then you should be able to do whatever you want with your home. It's your private space. I actually think it's weird when you don't see pictures and tid-bits, it makes me feel like I'm on a set, or in a museum rather than in someone's house. I think pictures are a great way to add "warmth and comfort" to a home.

my dog "the shredder" will shred anything. . .she's still quite a puppy, but I do one of a few things. Re-stuff the "beast"/toy and put the squeeker back in, that way, they have another challenge, true, there's already a hole, but they get so much pleasure from finding the "heart of the beast" aka squeeker. . .

after we've done that a few times, I sweep everything up, and about once a week I vacuum. . .sure, there seems to almost always be pieces of fluff floating around, but on a day to day basis, it doesn't bother us. . .it's just part of owning a hound. . .only when company comes. . and then everything gets sweeped and vacuumed, and defured anyway. . .good luck

my slow cooker is small like my apartment. . .good in theory, bad in cooking roasts. . .and I live in minnesota! I need the warmth!!!

reminds me of my childhood on my grandparents farm. . .there's nothing like falling asleep in front of the fire on a sheepskin rug.
