Yogurt, granola and fruit. You can layer it the night before and add granola, or grape nuts or even nuts in the morning. You can also let kids that are a little bigger build their own.
For older kids, serve with a piece of toast with just butter or PB. Whole grain, of course.

It is the environmental impact of millions or little plastic cups in landfils that is far more worrisome. If people want to throw away their money, that's their business. Besides, that coffee usually sucks.

I can--and do-make small amounts of coffee in a 12 cup automatic drip pot daily. It's really a no brainer.

Hmm...well, if your kids are willing to eat raw veggies, why worry? They are better for them anyway. That said, the minestrone with a shot of parm and a salad is a perfect busy weeknight meal for my tween!

I don't like melon, but I do add it to smoothies. That way I still get its benefits and I like the texture it helps give. I also like greek yogurt better than regular, plain, vanilla or honey. Creamier and more nutritious.

OT, but @erinpearce: You can also steam cauliflower and break it into little bits to mix into your son's mac and cheese. He will NEVER KNOW :)

My daughter's name is Cadence (NO YOU CANNOT STEAL THIS), different but not too weird or unpronounceable. So I thought--- it's amazing how people manage to botch it up.

That said, couldn't decide, picked out 3 names (the others were Julia and Liana--NOBODY liked Liana but me), just before completing the hospital paperwork, thus enabling me to leave it, I phoned friends, took a survey and Cadence won. So, it is.

I too have my grandmothers that are jet black. I love them but I hate washing them because they're so heavy. I scrub them with d/w liquid and a nylon scrubber and have for years.I have even soaked and scraped them and never had a problem. They're cast iron--pretty tough! I also then put them on a low fire on the stove to dry which prevents them from rusting anyway.For 'seasoning' I rub oil all over them and use a low fire on the stove top for about 10 minutes, and don't mess with that oven stuff.
