these sound delicious! i would never have thought to try yams in a burrito... i often do zucchini or yellow squash with black beans, salsa, and a little light sour cream, in a multigrain tortilla. i can't wait to try the yams! A slow cooker is the one thing already on my Christmas list this year! :) I have been craving roasted pulled pork and couldn't wait to make it once I had a slow cooker! that is what i have been doing, and it works wonderfully! i made one just last night. i use a piece of paper out of my recycling bin, rolled into a cone over a disposable plastic cup. i add a few drops of dish soap to the apple cider vinegar so that flies get stuck. within a day, all the fruit flies that were all over my kitchen are completely gone! i also have the cuisinart version, with immersion blender/processor/whisk. i love it, but not for slushy drinks. i have tried very unsuccessfully to make margaritas and other slushy drinks, and i couldn't get the ice cubes as broken up as much as i would like. i ended up buying a regular blender, but only take it out for making drinks. i second dena's question... i have a large kitchen windowsill that i want to put pots in, but it gets limited light and i have no outdoor space. what can i grow? i want herbs, but i would love to try vegetables also, if they would survive. thanks!!! I have been wanting to buy one! I have a very small kitchen, and it would be great for making curry chicken with yogurt sauce and cashews (or anything!) for a large group. Having that done and in its own pot would free up my kitchen for other things during a dinner party! i was unable to find fresh cranberries in pittsburgh in january, i even checked trader joe's, so i tried the dried cranberries soaked in water and oj. the scones were VERY moist and delicious! i would definitely make them again!
