Odd, but the first thing I thought was....are they safe? Those windows are "climb-in" level and they dont look secure. Perhaps its the jaded NYer in me that must always have safety in mind. I thinks it awesome that people can live like this and feel comfortable. As Im typing this Im realizing my grandmothers house (in rural MD) was alot like this. It's just hard to fathom, and Im a little annoyed that that was my first thought. Laurel & Margot's Celebration of Craft House Tour |

I have a few tank maxi dresses, that are great & comfortable (but cheap and a lil to thin to wear in public). If Im chilling I'll wear leggings and a top, which is usually cute, but for a reason or another it never made it to "outfit-out-the-house" level. I recently had this discussion with my guy and he said I always look great and femine around the house. Who knew! He even said sometimes when I change into something more comfortable he's confused...like, "are we going out? thought we were chillin"...this is usually a summer dress that got a lil too pilty or a satin shift that I never quite adored. Maybe guys dont see the details. I actually went through the effort of buying cozy pants to wear around-they all shrunk. I want a onesies. How Hot Do You Look At Home? |

I too think airbeds are the best option for small space...and I really mean "small places." If I had a guest room I be overjoyed and would probably never call my home a "small space". My airbed is a double in size and blows up to full height. When I first moved I used it for 3 months, no prob. It does however take up the whole living room/common space, so guest have to quickly put it away when they wake up. Small Space Overnight Guest Solution: Affordable Sleeper Chairs & Ottomans |

I too am a NY small living dweller (luv it). First thing I learned moved from a 700sqft rental to my 560 condo...purge! You must seriously decide what to keep & what to toss. I had ALOT of clothes, and had to get rid of quite a bit of items that I hadnt worn & probably wouldnt (consign, donate, ebay, etc).

Mine is like that, only in the bathroom and not red....if it were red I might not hide it. I get your desire to do so though. I made a curtain from some Marrimeko fabric & WonderUnder (I don't sew) and used a tension rod. I would have the left door on there but my machine sticks out 1/2 inche to far to allow the door to close. My bathroom is a tight fight so the door would have been cumbersome. The curtain is like a love art canvas and brings color into my bathroom. Ideas for Hiding Washing Machine? Good Questions |

Nice. I didnt realize it was a studio until I saw the blueprint. The thing about studios is people often find their butts on your bed (which I hate)...but you have provide a huge bench to counter that. Nice. Sarah's Creative Changes Small Cool Contest |

I had my family (8 people) stay in my tiny 560sqft apt. I agree the key is stay outside, spend the day out & about by the time we got home everyone was sleepy and happily crawled into their aerobed, couch, bed, cushions on thr floor, etc. It was messy, but it was family & I loved it. I eat alone, usually on the couch with a tray that I do place a full setting. I find it distracting to try to flip through a mag or surf the net. I will however watch a movie. If Im having dinner home with my guy...it depends, the more work I put it in the more formal, if we order pizza...I might be sprawled out on the floor on a pouf drinking beer from the bottle. This was my first time making risotto. I had no idea it took so much time, but I appreciate that. My first batch I accidentally used white wine vinegar instead of white wine. The momment I poured I realized my mistake. ha. I started over, I used more olive oil than butter to saute the onions and garlic (which I think worked bc the cheese added just the right amount of saltiness). IT WAS PERFECT.

I use disinfecting cleaner on mine. I spray it on a napkin/towel and wipe it down. I do this with my iphone often-I take the subway daily & touch the poles in the train which Im sure are a hotel for virus/bacterias/and plain ol' nastiness. I use my iphone & Kindle on the train so all of that is now on my devices. Then (I quiver at the thought) I take my phone to my face to talk....yeah I must sanitize that iphone often.
