Let the noodles get a little dry in the colander so the sauce doesnt slip through.

Nice. I didnt realize it was a studio until I saw the blueprint. The thing about studios is people often find their butts on your bed (which I hate)...but you have provide a huge bench to counter that. Nice.

I had my family (8 people) stay in my tiny 560sqft apt. I agree the key is stay outside, spend the day out & about by the time we got home everyone was sleepy and happily crawled into their aerobed, couch, bed, cushions on thr floor, etc. It was messy, but it was family & I loved it.

I was thinking of buying some slippers & a robe for my guests, I also have hotel size toiletries. My one problem is there is nowhere to place their luggage that isnt in the living room.

I recently moved & decorated so before they drag all their stuff in, I say "wait leave it here (hallway) and see how the place looks before we live it up for the next few days"

I eat alone, usually on the couch with a tray that I do place a full setting. I find it distracting to try to flip through a mag or surf the net. I will however watch a movie. If Im having dinner home with my guy...it depends, the more work I put it in the more formal, if we order pizza...I might be sprawled out on the floor on a pouf drinking beer from the bottle.

This was my first time making risotto. I had no idea it took so much time, but I appreciate that. My first batch I accidentally used white wine vinegar instead of white wine. The momment I poured I realized my mistake. ha. I started over, I used more olive oil than butter to saute the onions and garlic (which I think worked bc the cheese added just the right amount of saltiness). IT WAS PERFECT.
I didnt add anything fancy, and skipped the white wine all together (the wine probably would have cut the saltiness). Ill be more adventerous next time. I roasted brussels, grilled sausage and feasted.

I use disinfecting cleaner on mine. I spray it on a napkin/towel and wipe it down. I do this with my iphone often-I take the subway daily & touch the poles in the train which Im sure are a hotel for virus/bacterias/and plain ol' nastiness. I use my iphone & Kindle on the train so all of that is now on my devices. Then (I quiver at the thought) I take my phone to my face to talk....yeah I must sanitize that iphone often.
If I didnt take the train I honestly wouldnt be so 'noid.

I enjoyed your tutorial, my balcony is almost identical to yours. I used outdoor fabric for privacy on the banister last summer, but that didnt allow sunlight to enter and many of my plants died. I toyed around with the reed fencing but thought it wouldnt provide enough privacy (more importantly block my view TO the other neighbors back yards. I think I will try to use it this spring.

I made this last night for lunch today. So good!! I think it taste better room temperature/slightly warm.

I made several exceptions:
white vinegar (no rice vin.)
pure orange/mango juice (no plain oj)
organic maple syrup (no honey)
dried cranberries (no raisins)

Im particularly glad I didnt use raisins because I think it would have been to sweet. Plus I like then cranberry kick. This was my first time cooking with wheatberries, but it wont be my last. I particularly appreciate that you dont have to boil them which depletes their nutrional value.

If he didnt want anyone to make comments on his looks, he would have made sure he wasn't in any pictures. I have seen many house tours where the owner was not in a single picture.
I dont think its a big deal, the comments are flattering not rude. Im sure Chad has heard such before and knows how to handle it.

Lovely space, and lovely dog! and Yes, Chad is easy on the eyes. Very easy.

Sweet.
I envy* backyarded-people and loathe those who have them and choose not to do something nice with them.

*not in a bad seven deadly sin way, more in a "ohhh, thats so nice, Im definitely going to get a back yard in my next place"
