STAR WARS an IKEA omg! okay, so our boys are 11 and 13 and they would love that room (and me and my hubby too!)

i will transform their room soon and I already was looking for red/blue or red/grey rooms, so this is gorgeous!

hmm here in Austria i lived in 12 different homes, 10 of them were apartments. we did not have a closet exept in our last one.

people have armoires/wardrobes here. don't like the visual clutter. no way you can keep them tidy in everyday use (unless you are Mr. Monk)

my sleep pattern is weird: if i sleep 4-5 hours a night, i wake up fresh and happy, with the feeling that i already was nearly awake when the alarm went off. this is because i have been in REM-phase, waking up in this phase you will feel good and awake. my energy and awakeness stays all day.

if i sleep 6-9 hours, the alarm wakes me from the deepest sleep phase, i feel extremely tired and confused, and fall into kind of a coma if i don't set a few other alarms after that. my weakness stays all day, i feel tired and down until evening, when i kind of wake up again a bit.

i sleep with the iphone-app SleepCycle (0,99 $ in the appstore, more information on http://www.sleepcycle.com), but you can get similar apps for other smartphones and there are also real clocks or wristbands that work with sleeping phases. "since you move differently in bed during the different phases, the Sleep Cycle alarm clock is able to use the accelerometer in your iPhone to monitor your movement and determine which sleep phase you are in. Sleep Cycle then uses a 30 minute alarm window that ends at your set alarm time and wakes you in your lightest sleep phase.)

but i have to set the alarm window very short, max. 5 hours of sleep, otherwise my sleep feels BETTER when SleepCycle wakes me, but not as PERFECT as after 5 hours.

umm learn photoshop or ask a friend and you get this in 10 minutes of work and for FREE ;)

oh and I forgot: what's the white tv for? i think when it's OFF it's also a big black mass (except the frame) and looks maybe even more awful. was the same with the white smartphones, yeah, they look pretty when the display is on, but most of the time the black one looks better, as it is optically one part and not two (white frame, black display)

1. buy one big colorful piece of art
2. put some smaller (black&white) framed family photos around it
3. buy some cheap cushions in the 1 or 2 most dominant colors of the big art

we have the same problem here, white walls, white floor, white couch (we buyed it very cheap as it was used, so we didn't really had the choice of what color would be cool)

i hope we can paint our walls in spring, what will liven up our place too :)

as this represents my tase 100% i absolutely adore every single picture of their home!

I've wanted to paint our home since last year, when we moved in, but i didn't dare to because I love popping colors and wasn't sure if they would overkill, so I left everything white. our floors are also nearly, as they are in a really light tone of marmor-stone. the white&white look really only looks good in those perfect catalog-homes with white-only furnishings and which never have any stuff that wouln't match the theme... at our place it just looks... plain and uncozy!

maybe after this pics I dare to use some popping colors on our walls, as my husband likes them too and I shouldn't listen to what people may say about it, as long as we love it :)
