We have it in the kitchen (I did manage to shatter the glass behind the stove by touching a pot handle to it while it was boiling - we now have stainless steel behind the stove...).

At any rate - big caution - make sure that you seal the crevice between the counter top and the glass really, really well. Our contractor didn't do a great job by the faucet, and now we have a 2"x1/2" stain behind the glass -- no way I know to clean it out. I'll probably need to put some sort of stainless trim to hide it.
Other than that one stain - it looks beautiful.

These are beautiful.

Also -- who makes the coffee table(s)?

stringy -- this is a terrific link. It also addresses all those 'bad decisions' I've made but have trouble 'fessing up to by giving them away. Thank you.

Laure -- check it out.

I had read a very helpful suggestion about separation from another AT post -- she took digital pictures of things that she had trouble parting with and loaded them up to her computer. She said that she didn't know why, but it helped her get rid of things. I have yet to do that, but I have a lot of things that my sister had given me over the years and I feel like I'd be betraying her memory by giving them away. I think the pictures will help to cheer me about the thought behind the gifts without feeling weighed down by the physical objects.
But definitely hold on to the things that were involved in activities you did together. If there is still too much for your apt., then rent a small storage space.

MHW - I don't know how you found it, but thanks for the link. There are some great installation shots as well as other wallpaper.

I really appreciate it - it's been driving me nuts. It's also in the real estate section of the NYT this weekend, too. Wonder if it's getting too popular...

Does anyone know who makes the wallpaper in the Duc Duc showroom nursery? I looked at Cookie and couldn't find a reference for it.

These photos are amazing -- they are so vibrant and, frankly, sensual. Thank you for brightening up a rather grey NYC day.

Wonderful job -- what a lot of work! I like the fabric art. I'll add to the "where did you get" frenzy -- where did you get the bedroom curtains?

I love flowers, but after reading a NY Times article (Feb 2003) on how the pesticides and fungicides on roses in particular are making workers sick in Ecuador, I haven't been able to even look at them at the markets on the corners.

There was also an awful quote from a marketing manager of Calyx & Carolla which stated that the environment wasn't their problem. I assume that is a response most marketers would give.

If this has already been discussed - please point me to the thread and I'll take it from there. Thanks.
