I find this 'before and after' somewhat odd. Before was an empty room. Beside changing the wall color nothing has changed. Furniture has been added - so what is the point? The added furniture is somewhat mediocre inclusive the dining room set - the side lamps could be from a Walmart...

I think its a well done job considering low budget. The ceiling is the biggest improvement - and the chalk board adds to the appeal. I like the clean cut look - no reason to fill it up with useless dust collectors and area rugs - whether square or round! Decorative knobs can be expensive if one wants to go individual and does not want the stuff everybody buys at Home Depot...

The offices look nice - yet I do not see any new design idea coming from these pictures. Initially I liked the first picture simply because it is more up-lifting as in use of colors - though looking closer it could very well be a work area for children to do their homework.

For sure a stunning transformation from old to new. Would like to see some more pictures of the house like kitchen, bathrooms and exterior as this all plays a big role in achieving a great restoration.

We don't have any children - we have two Basenjis (if that matters or counts) - yet on here I enjoyed reading about people I have never met - reading about creative people who are behind so many different kind of designs - it is nice to put a face and a story behind and to a design which many often take for granted. Thanks for a glimpse into their lives.

What a beautiful bathroom. Still - the washer and dryer in the picture look a little out of place. But for sure it is convenient...

I wish I could invest in pillows - but my dogs will just have a blast with it... no matter what design or any respect for how much they went for...

Well since it seems to be a storage shed I don't know if it improved your Feng Shui by 200% - but it must feel very good to be more organized... (:-))

Same here - I remember books by color - though I started organizing books by height. (:-)) There is nothing worse than looking at a messy book shelf. I turned an existing closet into a walking library by adding french glass doors.

Wow. This is a great home. Especially the outside choices of metal - glass - concrete and wood. This is the ultimate modern dream home. Congratulations to the architects and home owners - A job well done! Inside and outside!

Yes, from a Feng Shui standpoint it is not a good idea. On the other hand it makes it harder to really clean off the dust under the bed which makes it problematic for people with allergies. I know it is appealing - and as practical as it sounds - it is not a good idea.

I absolutely love the use of all the colors. Though I do not know many people who use lots of bold colors - I find it extremely uplifting. I wish I could go visit this store in Paris. But for sure on my next trip.
