I scored a 15 on a crappy monitor. I'm pretty happy with that, but I wonder if I would do better with a better monitor. Take the Test: How Well Do You See Color? |

I grew up with bunk beds, and now use those same ones for my 5 year old daughter. They are extremely well built and are still in excellent shape. Our bunk bed separate into two twin beds so I love having the option of switching the room around whenever I want. I would definitely recommend getting bunk beds that can be twin beds. So far my daughter sleeps on the bottom bunk but in a year or two she'll may start sleeping on the top. She would really love to now, but we've taken the ladder off so she can't climb up. Although I didn't pay for our bunk beds I definitely would have. They're so well built and very versatile. Are Bunkbeds Worth It? |

I still use this everyday. Gosh, I've probably had it since the early 90's and it still works great. Product Nostalgia: An Ode to the (Discontinued!) Sony Dream Machine |

Are you using that closet right next to the front door for storage of large items? You know all that time you spent limiting the TV, planning play dates, and coming up with other fun creative things to do? Well this is when you make up for it and sit your kids down in front of the TV all day. I had the stomach flu this winter and my husband had to travel for work, so I just laid myself down on the couch, pulled the train table and doll house into the living room, and played movies all day. It was all I could do to make it into the kitchen to make her something to eat. It was awful, but my daughter enjoyed the novelty of it. On Keeping Little Ones Happy When Parents Have The Plague |

Well, first of all it doesn't really sound like you're good friends with this person, and in that case why would you feel obligated to go anyway... especially if you're feeling so judgmental about the whole thing. If I knew someone that was invited to my baby shower felt this way about me I would really hope they didn't even come. Gift Etiquette and Moral Dilemmas Good Questions |

I wouldn't tear down the wall, having an extra closed off room adds a lot of flexibility. I'd probably install a French door, and if there is enough room so expand it to a double French door I'd do that. You could make it into an office, media room, guest bedroom, or even just another get away from your significant other - in a one bedroom you'll need that! What To Do With Awkward Den Space?
