Pls sell the couch to me before you change one thing about it! I LOVE the color of the wood AND the upholstery. Don't change either. I agree with other who have suggested chocolate brown pillows. The brown in a luxe velvet, linen or hemp would be NICE! A dark brown sisal area rug would also make it more masculine. Personally, I like the green too but I think one color would be best, brown or green. GREAT eye for GREAT find! Ways To Make Granny Couch Look More Masculine? Good Questions |

A few years ago I saw a nice room divider made of two glass paned doors hinged together. You could put paper, fabric, magazine covers or anything else, even paint, in the panes. The one that I saw had hooks on the side facing the bedroom for jewelry, scarves or belts. The divider could be placed inside the room about 3 feet back from the door so you have privacy but can easily get around it. It also can be folded and moved to the wall whenever you want to. The Habitat restore has plenty of these doors for cheap. You probably could find them at any salvage place as well. Even new unfinished ones can be bought at the big box stores pretty cheaply. I know you didnt want shoji but this really could be an art piece, it's up to you! Temporary Privacy Door Ideas for Arched Doorway? Good Questions |

I think the ears are cute, I'd wear them for halloween but everyday? on the street? nah, don't think so! I like fun like everyone else but they are kiddyish. And PLEASE stop attacking people for their opinions! that's kiddyish and bullying. Everyone does not have to agree, can't we all just get along? If you want a kantha quilt though, get a nice one from west elm or pottery barn for $99 not $375. PB's are on sale regularly for $79. Not usually a fan of traditional but this on has so much going for it! I am not a shoe person but the shoes do add personal style! I love the two hearths, that green tile is delicious! I think any home that shows the personality of the owner instead of just being "out of the magazine" is naturally easier to make a connection with. A home is not complete though without some orange. A throw pillow? A throw? Even an accessory? :-) Also, in the dining room a bigger more colorful rug under the table? Maybe even a muted color kilim? Overdyed purple carpet? :-) Ok, now we're talking about ME :-). Great place! Michelle's Traditional + Fashion Forward House Tour |

It is a nice modern room. I could live without the hides but it's not a show stopper. After all, we eat A LOT of meat in this country, hide rugs/upholstery/pillows etc. is just eco friendly, recycling even. We have to do something with the hides besides put them in the landfill. I don't however, like the bed on the floor thing. It works for this room because the ceiling is so low but in general, not a fan. 10 Sources for the Organic Modern Style Weekend Shoppers Guide |

REALLY? I thought this was a joke at first. Since you are the type who normally wings it, then why the search for perfection in folds and poofiness? The curtains look nice, there is no such thing as perfection. Embrace the choice your curtains have made to be DIFFERENT! Seriously, there is more to this story right? E for effort! However, it looks like the base of muslin that covers the batting before the upholstery fabric is put on. If it is muslin, that may not hold up to regular use, it is too thin and will allow too much movement of the "batting" (pillows). It's a good start but I wouldn't leave it like that, it doesn't look good. Before & After: Jude's Virtually Free Sofa |

Really nice! Only thing missing is color. A soft shade of something on the walls would be the finishing touch. Maybe a light green or yellow? Without some color all of the beautiful selections kind of blend together :-(. Although, as someone else mentioned, those rooms get plenty of light, you could even go with a darker shade like camel or a light brown to bring out the brown in that gorgeous granite. Be brave! Go for the color! Kitchen Before & After: From Dark & Dated to Light & Glamorous |

For the ratty oven, maybe it's just me but I would never be able to eat anything out of that. I would imagine rat turds falling from a missed spot into my food. I would throw that stove out and get a used one from a used appliance place (with turds that you don't KNOW about :-)) or even buy a new one on clearance or a low end model that's not too expensive. New would probably be more energy efficient anyway. Also, if the ratty one is gas be careful of clogged gas line, after 5 years spiders, turds, dirt or anything could have clogged the gas line. May need someone who works with gas (gas company or plumber) to check it out. 5 Ways To De-Funk Musty Furniture |

Nah, this is suffering from a serious case of the blah's. Ho hum, boring beige. Hey I've got an idea, why don't you make everything white! Furniture, slipcovers, walls, lamps.....That would be SO different! (NOT) The monotone thing does not do it for me, where is the life in this room? um, yeah.. I think that's exactly hat I would do, walk away and very quickly. That piece is over the top practically speaking. If I had a cavernous space then maybe that could the throne ( I would need high heeled mules with feathers on top to go with) or some place to take Halloween pics. I would cover it in a zebra print and paint the trim pumpkin! Or wait! One more idea would be to get a lifesize Liberace dummy and pose him on it. (add candelabra of course!) :-) Shock of Pink Sofa from Polart ICFF |
