The light is a Pistillo, an Italian 70s design classic. The cable hanging from it is part of the lamp's design.

Nice clean apartment. White space!

Those vintage toy cars are too good for kids. Love it, will hunt for a glass dome and hope my own toy cars turn up somewhere.

And yes, I'm childfree.

I mopped the floor with warm water and soft soap before moving a full bookcase on a painted concrete floor by myself. It was only a couple of metres but it worked. With easy.

Renters in Germany can ask to rent for free for a couple of months in exchange for fixing/updating an apartment. Sometimes the landlord will pay for any materials required.

Keeping that in mind, an apartment from hell can become a great (financial) deal.

Also, it seems some people do not understand that when you take a picture, you frame and crop the image. There may well be storage outside the frame.

This is so lovely and the "new" antique sink is a dream.

Cheap and effective: screw plastic protective covers onto the wall (the thin sturdy ones good record stores sell). Remove vinyl from the sleeve before mounting.

As an artist I can only applaud an initiative that drags good art pieces out of the galleries and museums and, quite literally, into the streets. Wish I could see it in person.

Not a big fan of wood normally but this looks wonderful. It also helps the not very interesting white appliances to stand out. I guess this can be easily done in rented apartments too, without damaging the walls.
