I'm not sure what kind of felt you are getting, but try to see if it pills. I have some rather high-end felt pillows that began pilling pretty much as soon as I started using them and they pick up lint from everything. Hope it goes well! So true. I had a drill at the top of my Christmas and birthday lists (my family demands these) for two straight years before they finally believed I was serious. They obliged at last, just as I was moving into a new place. I love it! The Renter's Toolkit: 15 Must Have Essentials |

Thanks AT for a useful post, I just wish comments were used for useful discussion rather than veiled self-promotional and self-congratulatory (can we please stop with the all caps, people?) posts. I don't have much more constructive to say other than that, I just miss the days on AT when comments were lively, less calculated, and more informative. 10 Online Sources for Original Artwork |

Wasn't this event back in May or something? Is there an embargo on when you can show it? Most of this stuff I've already seen in the stores or on the cover of the catalogs. I appreciate you sharing what you saw, but would have loved to have seen it back when it was still a "preview"! Crate & Barrel, Land of Nod & CB2 Preview! |

I just wish everything on this show wasn't so brown and drab. The design of the apartment is cool, but is there no light or color in the New York these ladies live in? It is making the show hard to watch for me! Small Space Living on Girls |

I've had similar questions about veneers from that era. How successful is it to sand down something like that? The varnish seems so thick, or rather the veneers seem so thin. I've been at a loss with similar pieces I have. Love The Lines, But How To Change the Color? Good Questions |

@fancyd I wasn't trying to justify, I just wanted the earlier reader to think before she condemned everyone using disposables. I actually hand-wash my dishes, walk to work, and line dry my clothes, so I'm not too concerned with my role here. I only wanted to point out that its not quite as simple as it might appear at first. @DesignBuildDwell -- Actually, the jury is very much out on whether or not disposable plates are worse for the environment than washing by hand or using a dishwasher. The water and the energy used to heat the water for dishwashing have their own harmful impact. It's not always that simple. Where Do You Stand on Disposable Flatware & Plates? Reader Survey |

I'd move the bedroom away from the kitchen in that tiny alcove. It will feel much roomier, and will open up that space in the corner for storage or more 'living/entertaining area'. Help! Fix Up This Live/Work Warehouse Space | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

I think window boxes and flower pots on the front step, along with replacing the awning would give you the biggest bang for the buck. Absolutely gorgeous! Finally a house tour to make us here in DC proud. He clearly has a great sense of humor to soften the edges of a lot of the modern pieces and wow, the colors are so vibrant. What does the rest of the place look like? You could have a lot of fun with these cabinets. A warm orange could give it a fun retro feel, or the ice blue mentioned above would be amazingly sleek.
