I just put it in my coffee! All that fat makes a light breakfast more sustaining.

The cream scones from Cook's Illustrated are great too. The recipe is one of their books, but has also been copies online.

I made this in a rectangular tart pan so I halved the recipe. The crust turned out a little strange because a lot of the butter melted out of the removable tart pan bottom! It was still delicious, just very crumbly.

I also just realized I used twice the amount of cranberries, since I didn't halve them! It still turned out perfectly, with a beautiful rich, red color. It wasn't too tart, even with half the sugar to cranberry ratio. The tartness was perfect, actually, and balanced the richness of the crust really nicely.

Oh, gosh. My old apartment had two two-plug outlets, one of which had the refrigerator plugged into it, with the stove plugged into the other! We had a power strip so we could have the toaster and microwave plugged in, but it would blow the fuse if the fridge switched on while I was running the microwave!

At any rate, does the electrical code in your city require a certain number of outlets per foot? I know someone who re-did their kitchen recently and they had to put in what seemed like a ridiculous number of outlets to meet code.

I bought my Le Creuset on clearance at TJ Maxx ages ago. It was about the same price as the knock-off brands that are available now. I think it has a tiny flaw in the lid, but nothing major. It's so pretty, but I know I don't use it as much as I could! I'm definitely going to try braising something from that link. It's so cold here in New England!

My favorite use for my Kitchen Aid is definitely for making bread. Love that dough hook!

I really want one of these SideSwipes for whipping cream and egg whites. It would be great for cakes too.
