Ahahaha vertigen, I knew someone would blast me soon enough for being vocal about my actual opinions. It doesn't particularly float my boat because I don't see anything very special, but I've lived with architects and interior designers my entire life, so I am used to seeing a lot of special places. But again, these are places that I deem to be special - may not be necessarily how you think. Sad how comments always end up either argumentative or are simply not representative of true opinions. Nothing innovative, but very nicely done nonetheless. Would love to see more of your swanky place. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Northwest #15: Corey Bern's Mid-Century One Bedroom |

Ummm yeah NO. It's a different look, and that look can be done very well, as shown in Zara home catalogues. This is NOT it. Apartment Therapy New York | International #2: Sultan's Lovely Villa |

I like that it's not theme-y. Almost all "asian-inspired" inetriors end up looking really theme-y and tacky. That said, I do not really see how this is all that special. But that is probably because I have seen many other better ones throughout my life when I stayed in various South East Asian countries... Still, it is a nice place. Wow this has to take the cake of shots-that-make-voting-accurately-astronomically-difficult. Your kitchen shot and living room shot are great, but a picture of your floor? And your view? Apartment Therapy Chicago | Midwest #17: Brian's Loft |

I am sorry, I see no creativity here at all. The furniture is oddly placed - there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it, especially with the photography equipment scattered around. For that, I voted you down. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Northwest #12: Xing's Apartment for a Wanna Be Artist |

I have a similar setup but I have to say, as good as they look, those basketscan only hold light objects - VERY light objects, or preferably nothing at all (which is really dumb). Why? Because they do not slide. And the baskets are a tad flimsy. To pull out a basket, you need to grab the basket with two hands. Not functional at all. Oooh grandma chic - no it's not a criticism; I actually kind of like it, despite it being VERY unlike my style. It's what my grandmother always wanted but never quite reached there. But I still think you need to edit some more - I can't imagine having to dust down the place... Apartment Therapy Chicago | Midwest #12: Margaret's Highrise Beach Bungalow |

I am sorry, but I think the scale is off in a lot of places. The bedside tables looks rather dwarved; the two side chairs look much smaller than the Barcelona and your navy sofa. The door(?) behind it looks too small beside the beefed-up mantel (I realise there is nothing you can do about that). Also, the standing lamp behind/beside the sofa gets drowned in that corner. That mirrored console also looks too big for your hallway. I am sorry to be so critical, but I really think that, in a small space, one needs to be really adept at picking furniture at the right scale (though I know that is a much easier said than done)... You posted 3 pictures of just your furniture. I assume you are really proud of them, and you should be because they are unique, but I just do not think they are appropriate photographs for us to be able to vote properly. From the sole picture showing how you laid out your furniture and used your space, I did not see anything interesting, and for that, I voted you down. Sorry. You have great eye for colours, patterns and textures, but I do think that you overdid it (slightly) with the rug in the bedroom. Multi-functional furniture pieces like the one in your study are essential for small apartments - it a good use of space for a small library and desk area to work at. Certainly a worthy competitor! Now THIS is what the competition is all about - creative use of space and NOT decor, especially for a renter! It's functional and beautiful. So far in this competition, I have not seen any homes with this level of execution or creativity. If nothing else comes in with a similar train of thought design-wise, you deserve to win - no doubt about it. Apartment Therapy New York | East #19: Tony and Hilary's 3 in 1 Studio |

It's a bit too conceptual. It's very beautiful, and I especially love the dining table and bench, but the seats with grass on them?!! Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Blogging...Inspiration From CASA Korea |

Edina, there is a difference between having your opinion and just being mean-spirited. The comment you made in the previous post was uncalled-for and plain rude - it did not even describe the things that didn't make it for you. Lots of commenters post negative comments (myself included), but they are not rude about it. Please try to keep that in mind when you are making a comment. While it's not really to my liking, you have fulfilled what you set out to do, which is really all that matters. I am curious about one thing though: where's your bed? Apartment Therapy Chicago | Midwest #5 - M. Cole's Red Yellow Apartment |

This deep colour would make for an excellent accent wall in a bathroom, against shimmery pieces, watery glass tiles, mirrors and a chandelier. Apartment Therapy New York | ColorTherapy: Underwater Blue |

I think you've managed to carve out space for each area very nicely - very well laid out. I especially love the oldschool parquet floors. Some of the scale and style of some of the furniture pieces seems a little off (that rocking chair seems too big and the mixing of styles in the dining set is a tad strange), but it's probably very likely that you are still in the process of moving from hand-me-downs to your own pieces. Regardless, that is just personal taste. This apartment rocks! Apartment Therapy New York | East #11: Eddie's West Village Studio |
