I found a recipe for pumpkin waffles in a book on cooking for toddlers. The inclusion of a whole tablespoon of baking soda seemed odd, but I assumed it was right. The batter became extremely frothy, and when I bit into the first one, it was so incredibly salty I had to spit it right into the trash! I was so annoyed. Bad Recipes: Have You Ever Been Burned? |

Sew Heidi - if you're using extra virgin olive oil, you're right to mix everything else and then add it. You don't want to process extra virgin olive oil heavily or it releases bitter compounds. If you're using regular olive oil, there's more leeway. Melissa Clark's Secret to Super-Smooth Hummus |
