So funny! I just purchased some vintage reels of Lake Tahoe for my hubby for Christmas 2 nights ago on Ebay- we honeymooned there.. Still have to pick up a viewer though! I LOVE doing caramelized onions in the crockpot- just chop them up, add a bit of water, and leave them alone for a while. I do a ton this way and then freeze them in small portions. They thaw quickly on the counter or in the microwave and add great flavor to anything. This past weekend I created one myself out of some fabric and an old DVD rack we had in the basement. I saw these at BabiesRUs and thought about purchasing some but will wait til my little guy is a bit older. A friend gave one to her 1 year old and shared the photos with me later- HUGE mess! He squeezed it all over himself and his highchair and then slapped his hands in it til it ended up all over the walls... I do like the idea of squeezing it onto a spoon when you're out traveling somewhere- seems like that would control the mess better! Oh we could soooo use a replacement to our super-old 1 heat-level crock pot... I'd make pulled pork in this.. and then hubby would probably do sausage with peppers and onions.... and then we'd do chili... I've actually never had a soft-boiled egg but any day now I'm going to try one! My current fave way to eat eggs is over-easy on a piece of toast with some hot sauce and black pepper- yum!! My all-time favorite seltzer drink is something my mom used to make us as a treat- seltzer water and apple juice.. We felt very grownup drinking this for some reason- now it makes me feel like a kid again! Oh I'd love to win one of these! I was just telling my brother (the only college student I know who saved up his money to buy himself a kitchenaid!) about them! Recently I've been using my mixer for cookie dough mostly I'd say.. Although it gets a workout pretty often for whipped cream as well!
