Noticed the wall art on one of your walls and I think it will perfectly match this carpet:

Add a breezy curtain like this :

.. or if you wish to be more matchy-matchy here are curtains with the same pattern as the carpet:

In brief,
*a chaise longue next to the window ,
*a small coffee table (which you may easilly move to the small part of the wall at the end of the chaise longue under the window) ,
*a footstool (high as the chaise longue), which you may use as additional extention of the sofa and thus having two places on the sofa for relaxing,
*TV cabinet
Add some nice curtains, plants, wall art and you're done :)

What To Do With Small Dining Room?
Good Questions

This bathroom looks nice! And you can do whatever you want with some additional accessories.
Personally, I wouldn't paint the walls, would leave the white and just add some bright accessories.

Saw that IKEA has some good offers.Don't know whether you can afford to bye the accessories at once, but you can always add them one by one.
Here are some examples with bath accessories:
1.Shower curtain - $6.99
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50181989
2.Bath mat - $19.99
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?WRN=-1421544771&SKU=15976888&RN=2050&
3.Laundry basket - $7.99
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10191259
4.Pendant light - $8.00
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10201611
(it looks like a wrinkled towel to me :) )
5.Wall shelves - $49.99
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80163781
(you can use them as a towel holder , check this inspiring idea:
http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/uimages/la/Tanja-Image05.jpg )
6.Wall shelf - $12.99
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S09867186
(may mount it above the sink)

So far : $105.95

And as you sad, you can ask your parents for a mirror, here is one which can be mounted on the wall
above the sink :
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20079403
It has even space for a hairbrush, comb, jewelry etc. inside on the doors.

As a final touch, you can put a nice looking painting, or a poster above the toilet , or on the wall against the door.
Hope you liked the above examples of accessories and the rough calculation of their total value.
Good luck and enjoy decorating!

I don't know whether you like purple colour, but at the moment I saw the photo, I thought this kitchen would look nice with purple accents and hanging flowers above the kitchen island.

If you like this idea, you might colour the walls above the cabinets and the wall next to the fridge in light purple colour.
Would look something like this:
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2261/2492251784_35dfff1a90.jpg
(use lighter purple than this in the photo).

Put roman shades on the window :
http://needspark.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/purple-kitchen4.jpg?w=500&h=400

... and 2 or 3 hanging flower baskets with beautiful flowers above the kitchen island :

... and put a nice painting on the wall next to the fridge.

How To Spruce Up Bland Kitchen?
Good Questions

How about a little strange idea ...
Mount the TV on the wall of the kitchen island (facing the living room).
Get rid of these bar stools and take nice light chairs and glass dinner table and put them next to the window (where the TV stands now in the photo). Thus you'll have enough sunlight in the room.

http://www.homebase.co.uk/wcsstore/homebase/images/162-6027805A70UC490104M.jpg
http://tableandchairsonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/glass-table-and-chairs.jpg
http://www.furniturefashion.com/image/rectangular%20modern%20glass%20dining%20tables%20gallotti%20and%20radice.jpg

You may put a sofa chaiselongue in the corner of the room (the back of the sofa facing the sliding door) and leaving enough space for the door to open.
As proposed by lampeam , buy a pair of prints. Hang one on the door and one behind. When closed, a pair, when open, a single piece of art. And you'll finish the look of the wall above the sofa.

If the furniture is placed like above, you can see the TV both from the dining table and from the sofa.

I totally agree with Strawberry79 ... Take samples from the store if possible and see which one matches the best.
Very dark floors are pain in the back. You may choose something lighter , for example Brown Walnut or Smoked Walnut ...

Good Questions

Personally... I can't decide .. both options - with or without hardware , have its pros and cons...
Maybe you'll have to decide which option suits you best when using the kitchen.
If you don't want to add hardware, I would suggest you to use your decoration skills :)
May use adhesive foil in aluminium colour right on the former wood trim.
Something like this in the photo:
http://www.china-kitchen-cabinet-doors.com/images/products/201024141142812w600h600uJiuda/18-20mm-kitchen-cabinet-door.jpg
http://www.kdcuk.co.uk/assets/products/large_Continental%20Matt_AluminiumTrimMN.jpg

... or if you want hardware on the cabinet doors, suggest you to use these kind of handles :
http://www.ec-promos.com/usimg/57/63us1/kitchen-light--aluminium-illuminated-box-shelf-133.jpg

http://www.kdcuk.co.uk/assets/products/large_MattonellaGlosStoneBlackMN.jpg

.. and thus the lips of the trim will be disguised :)

Brilliant house!
As if Steven read my thoughts about decorating my own house - lot's of orange combined with wood, the sofa, the airplane (I'm airplanes big fan) ... everything is just as I've imagined ...
Great job Steven!
I'm also a fan of bright colours and always propose to people to use them when decorating.
As I live in Spain , I always admire the spaniards' bright and colourful houses... They always put a smile on me when wondering amongst the streets and make me feel happy when I see those colours.. I have tons of photos of the spanish houses.
Even the kitchen plan is kept original. Here in Spain almost all of the old houses don't have an absorbator above the cooking plot. When cooking, spaniards just open the window for ventilation :)
I should start a blog about Spain :))

Hmmm, with this strange architectural plan , there are not many choices ...
I'd either do as AbigailC proposed above, or would put one sofa close to the wall (the one facing north) and the other sofa facing it with the coffee table between them.
TV might go on the right wall (as it is at the moment as I could see from the photos) or could go on the left window wall on a short TV table.

You might use the tiny wall (between the entry door and the archway into the dining room) by putting a shelf for the keys, letters etc. and hooks on the wall for the jackets.

http://catalog.sears.ca/wcsstore/MasterCatalog/images/catalog/Product_244/std_lang_all/43/_p/601_14243_P.jpg

Or use the corner made by the left wall and the entry door .... here is an idea ...

Here's another one way for pebble flooring, which is easy to clean and has the same effect as on the picture above:
resin pebble flooring - it uses pebbles but with epoxy resin spread on the top of the pebbles ... The final look is clean and smooth surface ...
