Oh I love the keys idea. I'll need to try that. I've been a napper my whole life. I love to get up super early (even on weekends) and take a nap during the day if/when possible. This never works during the week, but I almost always get two naps per weekend. I don't care if my friends call me an old lady. I'm well-rested and they're jealous.

For me, covering up is KEY. Even if it's hot, I need to cover up with at least a light throw if I'm going to fall asleep. I even keep a pashmina at my desk for those extremely rare occasions when I'm able to sneak away for a 20 minute rest. At home, I make sure to cover up with a soft blanket. It also helps to have a cat curled up on top of me.

Any room for a woman in Matthew's trailer??? SHAZAM! My mom always hoped I'd grow up without ever stepping foot in a trailer park but for him, I think she'd make the exception.

Ha! I read FrankiesGirl's comment wrong. I thought it said, "What works for me is guilt." I was wondering how on earth anyone could guilt their cat into anything. Then I realized, it's something my mom could totally accomplish if she put her mind to it.

I love the rug idea - so much better than a sheet. Our "solution" was to let kitty shred our old couch to pieces. After that, we inherited a futon that she wants nothing to do with. Unfortunately, neither do we. :p

If I were to visit someone's home and see this on the wall, I'd find it A LOT less pretentious than having "traditional" family portraits (i.e., faces) all over the place. To each their own, of course. Our photographer gave us some beautiful 8X10 shots of us from our wedding. The only one we even considered framing was a shot of us walking down the sidewalk with our backs to the camera.

I'm not sure I agree with the statement above. One of my favorite pictures from my parents' wedding (pretty wedding, horrible marriage) is a close up of their hands in silhouette, clasped together in the car as they drove away. It says so much about who they were at the time - their hopes for the future. It shows an optimism I didn't know my mom had, and a tender side of my dad I never saw.

I love the organic elements and the calming palette. Beautifully done, gentlemen!

Lived in a Chicago-style bungalow with my parents for about a year right after high school. My room was so, so tiny, and the set-up was exactly like room #2 featured above. I loved it. It was cozy and I hung sheer curtains that would flutter across my bed when a breeze came through. While I would never choose to put a bed in that spot if avoidable, it looked and felt lovely in that tiny space.
