Please let Lloyd and Michael that my dog looks exactly like theirs...except my dog has more of a white body than theirs. But since my dog is a new york native also, they could be related!

I heart these beds...anyone know if they deliver to the US and what the costs are?

I agree with the consensus about the vertical blinds. You want a bedroom that's soft and seductive, and I don't know if those emit those vibes. The curtains that you get don't have to be feminine, they could be just a soft material in a color that compliments one of the pillow shades or even the comforter. If you opt to keep the arc lamp, I'd see if I can raise it up higher, and possibly get a softer bulb or a different shade for it. I also would change the shade or the bulb on that lamp that is sitting on the nightstand also. Some artwork on the walls might be nice, like a picture of you and your bf. But if it were my room, I'd ditch the arc lamp and try to get a floor lamp because it makes that other side of the room look dark. That way, you have the height that you want, and you won't have to worry about hitting your head or anything.

I like the idea of having something in the bathroom to use to relax, like drinking a glass of wine or listening to the radio while enjoying a soaking tub or something, but as I think about it, the idea of magazines dripping with possible fecal and urine matter is gross....

Would Plummett or Manor House Gray be better in a living room? The room gets a lot of light, and is a decent size. I want to do a fake version of moulding on the walls with a white color and painter's tape...but wondering which kind of gray to paint...darker or lighter?

I can say that after getting over the stigma of it, I became all for thrift store shopping in terms of furniture as long as they aren't bedbug/flea ridden, as my mother taught me that there were some major finds in second hand shopping. For example, the couch I grew up with was brand new from Mig&Tig (still had tags on it and was in plastic), and would have retailed for about $3000, but my mother got it at a thrift shop for about $200. But, in Chicago, bedbugs were an issue (not as big as NYC or Boston) but they freak me out! Enough that when I'm looking to furnish my new place int the next few weeks, I'll probably be inclined to purchase new...even though I know my mom and everyone says to just get it clean and reupholster, I still want my butt to be the only butt on it. I'll probably just use what I have until I can afford more expensive items or get over my fear.

If you can, pretreat those persistent stains before you actually do laundry. Some people (like me) wait a week or so to do laundry and that ketchup stain turns into a major battle to remove...
Also, don't throw your shoes in the dryer...nothing is more irritating than hearing someone's old funky sneakers bouncing around in a dryer. They aren't supposed to be dried that way, and it can annoy or scare people who like some of us, wait in the laundry area for their clothes.
