This space is crying out for round. I'd add a low upholstered round ottoman, not too large. They come in all styles from minimalist to traditional.

I love your portiere curtain. I'm in the process of fashioning one for my back door.

With regard to the comments on color, photos really do not convey the richness and depth of Farrow & Ball paint. The grays are not 'drafty and chilly' in person.

Is that really sealed plywood woodwork throughout? Pretty ballsy.

Can't say I'm loving the flowered sofas, but on the other hand, bravo for the homeowners but using their heirlooms and not worry about what anybody thinks.

The girls' room is my favorite, really fun. Beautiful family.

I don't think it has to go with the rest of the house at all. A powder room can be a tiny jewel box in its own right. The small size allows you to experiment with rich color in a way that might seem over the top to you in a larger room. Your paper is really pretty. It will also transition fine from the gray paint in your hallway, when you have the door open.

Actually, it wasn't beautiful. It was really beat. The don't-ever-paint-previously-stained-wood shtick is getting tiresome. Painted wood can later be refinished - there are people who perform this service if you don't want to do it yourself - at the time someone wants their hideous dark green rocker back.
