I think Tolly's house is very interesting.My initial thought was as though I'd walked in on the set of that Doors movie with Val Kilmer and Meg Ryan. I think that look is hard to achieve
so it really appears to be Tolly's real style on a budget and I like that . It really has that Austin vibe. OK They should have focused more on the house rather than homeowner. Would the response be different if they included the husband in photo shoot? Probably.

I agree with mholtgrieve-- I would add that it would be best to match the gray from roof with a color strip and choose a darker medium slate gray from same color family for the siding. Use a clean white for trim and consider a pop of color on front--perhaps a poppy red on door as mholtgrieve suggested, as well. Make sure to consider the colors used on surrounding houses as the colors need to work with each other to get the desired result.

I am not keen on most of the colors chosen for that particular space but chose Spanish Olive.
My screen did not display the colors accurately as I a very familiar with colors listed. I am quite fond of silver satin by BM . I do like White Dove but think the space needs a bit more depth..

I like the bath re-do.. I am curious about what is going on in the rest of the house. Probably more in keeping with style of new bathroom rather than vintage pink tiles?

Your kitchen is beautiful.. Do you happen to know white paint color and brand used on cabinets?

West elm has great style but the quality of some of their furniture items leaves much to be desired. I purchased a 6 drawer dresser for bedroom and found that hardware provided for assembly was of poor quality. The drawers do not close and recently collapsed after less than a year of use.. The bearings inside drawer gliders even fell out!! We paid around 750 for this item--not impressed!.
