I love this house! I would definitely like to know the color used on the living room walls. I'm also curious about the triptych hanging to the right of the couch in the living room -- I love the color and the texture. What are they?

Thanks everyone for the great advice! We have 10' ceilings, so I'm not worried about making it feel claustrophobic in the room. I'd never even thought of using a white rod, but now that some people have mentioned it, it makes perfect sense! If I decide to keep the rod in its current location, I will definitely switch it out. But I am also really liking the idea of mounting the rod wide and just above the window. It's true, I won't need that natural light when the curtains are drawn because it will be dark, and I can still show off the pretty molding and transom during the day. And if I do decide to go that route, I suppose filling a couple of holes is a small price to pay for a good looking room! Thanks again!

erin, ccoop and cheryl, here's the info on the table from the bluelines brooklyn home tour:

"Joelle created a dining table from legs found on the street, which she loved for their French modern feel; a friend made the oval top and painted it with several coats of white lacquer."

gnomatic, I love your solution, but I am not quite sure how the brackets snap right on to the blinds. Can you be more specific? Does the Umbra website (www.umbra.com) have the rod/bracket that you used?

I'm trying to find a lamp that I saw on Sex and the City. It can be seen here: http://www.hbo.com/city/interiors/charlotte/interior_zoom/interiors.html
Click on Charlotte's Study, and the picture with more information is there. It says that it came from a place called Nice House, but I can't seem to find a website or any other way to locate them. Can anyone help me?
