Kitchenaid superba! Built in grinder you don't have to dump any filter. Best if you have house sitters or you don't want to think about maintenance! Also Bosch is great but I didn't buy because the interior is much smaller than an average dishwasher. This means you can't fit as much in.

It looks like a duravit Starck toilet...gorgeous yes.... But a Toto toilet will never clog.

I think painting is a lot easier than moving a gas line. Just repaint when you move out.

You just need to embrace the exposed water heater and work with it. Go with a utilitarian aesthetic in the kitchen...think Terence Conran. Put some Ikea Grundtal shelves up above the stove and a nice plant above the fridge, you won't even be bothered by the water heater after a while.

Everyone should spec formendahyde free plywood hese days especially for cabinets. It is so standard now that it is the same cost and most reputable cabinetmakers use it.

i started entering through my garage making it into a mudroom. before i did that though i realized the best thing was not to have too many hooks just two or three...just take the shoes off and go straight in avoid hanging your coat right there...otherwise we would have 50 coats by the front door and it looked sloppy. same with the mail we started bringing it straight to the office and on the way separated the junk.

winders are great space savers but they are very $$$ to construct and take great skill...just ask any contractor.

also as commenters have noted above, bldg codes make it very difficult in many situations. you need more room than you think.
