Lobita, that's actually not true.

I've tried to make a lot of gluten free bread and often they suck and or dry or crumble. If you are going to make bread at home, use this recipe, it's so moist and good, almost like cake. It's pure fat (macadamia nuts and coconut) but good fat that your body likes and doesn't turn into artery clogging junk.

I'm sure this "chemical" is really healthy for us as well. The USDA is always looking out for us, aren't they.

What a joke.

I made these last night and they were really good, much better than Lara bars in my opinion....BUT, they didn't really form together. I put them in the fridge over night, so maybe they will be better when I get home from work, but I was a little disappointed by that.

Anyone else run into this?

Follow Martha Stewart's recipe and you cannot go wrong. So simple. To mash though, I use my kitchen aid mixer and slowly add in butter and warmed up cream, they never come out gummy or over done.

Grapeseed oil is high in polyunsaturated fatty acids and Omega-6, which will end up giving you cancer and heart disease problems later in life and should really be eliminated in our diets. If you need an oil for baking, use coconut or use a nutty oil like walnut instead.

Martha Stewart has the best fail proof recipe with real cream and butter. I always use this recipe and they have never come out over whipped or gummy.

Robb Wolf is huge in the Paleo world, he has a book called 'The Paleo Solution' and a weekly podcast and is well educated in why the paleo diet is efficient for us as human's. It's very interesting and of course controversial.

Any type of oatmeal is off limits in a low GI diet, oatmeal is basically gives you diabetes in the morning, the grain naturally increased your glycemic levels sky high, sorry to break anyone's bubble.

The egg muffins are a great idea. I will usually eat some type of protein, like chicken breast or left overs from the previous night's meal with an avocado (the healthy fat is very filling)....OR, you can do unsweetened coconut milk with some berries (which are have a lower GI level then bananas, apples, mango, etc).

This actually is not true. Oats are not gluten free and shocker, neither is quinoa nor millet.

It is true that some people who have gluten free allergies do not have a problem with eating oats or quinoa but the truth is that
these contain a protein only a few amino acids different from gliadin (the main problem in gluten), and it is therefore problematic for digestion.
