Thanks So Much!
Just received this in the mail and couldn't wait to remedy the cold winter's night. Here are my first impression thoughts after one use:

I applaud the idea but there are a lot of wires and "parts" to contend with.

One cord from outlet to a plug on one end(in the center) of the comforter. There are also 2 additional cords that lead from outlet end of the cord for the heat controls. (This comforter pictured here doesn't seem to be plugged in! )Since it is full/queen size, there are heat controls for couples who prefer to "control" the warmth of each side. But this leads to a lot of cords laying around! Especially when the outlet is on one side of the room. I had to remind my honey to watch out for the cords as he sleepily dragged himself out of bed.

And although it is certainly useable without one, I would prefer to use a duvet cover.

But again, I am so excited to have won this that I wil continueto try and make it work. =)

I came across the latest issue of Ready-Made and I can say this article was in there. So perhaps a repost from AT's past, but it is a current reference.

As to the content itself, I always find these "closet makeovers" frustrating due to their unrealistic nature. Sure, we could all do with less.... but that is not nearly close to what I need to house in my closet. If I am to look at this example closely, am I correct in saying that this person doesn't own a single pair of jeans, let alone pants?? And only 4 pairs of shoes?? PUL-leeze. Let's not idealize the situation. Give me a solution for a real closet.

I would think that the people who go through my trash and steal my recycling take care of that already.

I applaud some of Newsom's efforts but enough is enough. He should be focusing on the rising crime rates and the overall infrastructure of the City.

Yep, they were back in stock at Therapy on Valencia Street last weekend. Made by Umbra.
I'm not crafty and didn't think the pricepoint was too high. It would certainly cost me more than $36 in time to try and make myself!

My closet!
I bought my condo 2 years ago and it has the strangest closet. It would be too much of a structural change to my place so I think I have to live it. But its turning into a dump that I am absolutely afraid to have people look in it. Help!
