I agree that it is easier to concentrate when thing have an order. BUT- let's get real! I have a 5 year old boy- I clean up every day. It takes 2 minutes for him to make a complete mess. He used to take things from one room to another. Very quickly. Now that's he's a bit older, he's getting more concentrated on his toys and using them more independently, rather than mixing them up. I read to him at least 2 books every night, and he loves it.
Of course, things should have a place and one should try to keep order, but really, I feel like I constantly straighten up, but it doesn't look like a magazine when the kids are home!
