Your best bet is to go with the Target table if you do not have any carpentry skills . It's real close to the pottery barn table. The only 2 big differences for me is that is was cheaper and it comes in black only. It's very sturdy and I love it! The color can always be changed with a little paint if you don't like black. The bookshelves on each side are the same size too. It's worth it for the price. You can't beat it. I don't regret this purchase at all. Just know that the table top and bookcases need to be purchased separately. It's worth it!
