I'm assuming it works like a fixed ladder, where the tv, dvd players, etc. provide enough weight to push it against the wall, and the feet have rubber non-slip bottoms. I'd love to see them in person cuz I'm confused too.

Awesome, me and my friends were discussing this the other day! We're opting to stop by a Sam Woo BBQ and pick up some Peking Duck, Cha Siu and Chow Mein. As much as I love my parents cooking, this is the stuff that my childhood is made of. Wash it all down with some Tsingtao or Chrysanthemum tea, good good stuff.

*gasp* That's my city! Yea, the language barrier is a bit frustrating, but I seem to get lucky and run into other market-goers who can help me out. I can understand some Cantonese and bits of Mandarin, but can't seem to form a complete sentence. I'm glad I can understand basic cooking terms, so I can somewhat grasp what I should be doing with my vegetables.

Agree with everyone else, this seems like it was posted on Re-Nest a while ago as well as the main Apartment Therapy page. The major consensus was; the manufacturing of the plastics involved outweigh the "frugal" benefits. It's a nice idea, yes, but pantyhose, cheesecloth, even the oldschool method of smashing bars together are more "eco-friendly" and therefore cost efficient. Since this is a "well designed" product, we can assume the price tag will reflect this. *sigh

I bought the IKEA pot when the red version was going on clearance and it's been working perfectly! Gives a great sear, lid is nice and tight, and the thing is HEFTY, meaning great and even heat. Been using it for pot roast and coq au vin.

I totally agree with Joan. I assume that the people worried about their reusable bags becoming "outdated" aren't even using them as shopping bags.

I have a main canvas totebag and carry 2 folded bags. If it's a big grocery day, I make sure to have some cheap plastic crates in my trunk so I can carry them home.

Hmm, maybe we should get a head start on everyone and start a "reusable bag reusing service," where we take excess/ unwanted bags and give them to people who want them.

$6 seems pretty steep for something that not only has a single use, but also becomes an awkward obstacle when you need to use a lid. Speaking of hazard, I'm sure kids love the bright colors.
