OMG! My favorite cast iron frying pan is over 40 years old, bought at a thrift stor for two bucks. Can I tell you? Caste iron is the best!

My landing strip is a chair just inside the door. My all purpose bag goes on the seat. I hang coats, scarves and hats and purse on the posts. My shoes go under the chair. It's simple. It works. Just like many others I live in a small house with limited closets. I know where my things are waiting for me every morning and that makes the whole day start smoothly. Love my landing pad!

Oooo, I love the porch. In the South we consider our porches to be another room. They are not afterthoughts. I know the summers in Denver can be quite lovely and you have made a very nice outdoor room to enjoy with family, friends and neighbors. I am imagining a quiet evening with candles lit and a glass of wine...very nice.

It is a great video. I have a two person kitchen with limited counter space but this past Sunday morning I poached and shredded eight chicken breasts, cleaned and cooked arugula and washed lettuce for the week. I also cooked a huge pot of white beans that had soaked overnight and made hummus and soup. The huge crock pot of chili I made will be eaten more than one this week. Practice. That's the thing.

We have a neighborhood tradition of piling kids, canoes and kayaks in the car and going to the local state park for the day. Throw the leftovers in a cooler and they magically disappear!

Big Bird in miniature. Too cute and who knew their skin was black? It's a wild and wonderful world out there.

An Ina Garten lasagna method: Just soak the pasta in a bowl of hot water and they will be soft enough to work with an not nearly the mess. It works!

One of the nicest fences in my neighborhood is chain link with English ivy growing on it and in the space just in front a neat row of daylilies.
