Wow, I'd have to agree and say it looks like they did a really shoddy job. I'd definitely call them and insist that they make good - even if that means giving you a new counter top. I know if that happened in my kitchen I'd die a little every time I looked at their mistakes and that's just not right.

Yes, the stools ad a really casual, well lived patina. I think I would have painted the brick wall white as well though... otherwise, beautiful!

Amazing - hardly looks like a trailer at all. But, my God, you must be soooo neat to live there otherwise in a flash chaos would ensue.

Living in Europe and being an American, I've am learning to reconcile my need for space with the actual amount of sq. footage... Steven has done an amazing job with the organization and the design! What I love most though are the ceilings!! He dared to put color where most wouldn't dream of adding anything other than white.

truly impressive creative thinking!! I don't know where to start with my compliments - the origami sculpture jumps to mind first but then is thrown out by the reclaimed table, and then the pipe shelves... sheeeesh. Can't wait to see what you two come up with next.

what nice images to wake up to! I love yellow (with all sorts of color combinations) and yet never have managed to work it into one of my design themes... guess I'll have to rethink that.

what a clever idea! I bet you could get the same effect by using stencils, too. Then you wouldn't be limited to the design of the rubber mat.

I've actually got my eye on a desk for our entryway, too. It's long and narrow and has drawers - what more could you ask for?

Old pieces add so much character and warmth. I love the combination of the lacquered slate walls against the crisp white wainscoting with the antique dresser. It's unexpected but for me, works great!

We live in Munich were space is at an über premium and have had our washer and dryer in our kitchen (under the counter) for the over 15 years. My dream is actually to have a master suite big enough for a small laundry room... sigh.
