A little bit too "Utah" for me--I grew up there so I believe I have justification. I do think I like the bedroom though. The curtains in the dining area are quite nice. Kirsten's Utterly Fabulous Utah Home House Tour |

I grew up sleeping on a daybed with a pop-up trundle. While they're nice to have, they're hell to make repeatedly. When I was tiny I slept on top of the covers or on the trundle because I hated making the bed. Flexible Bedroom Staple: Daybeds |

I only think this works if there's a common element with design or color. A lady in my neighborhood has painted wood chairs with a similar look all the same color around her table and it looks lovely. This just looks mismatched. Mix & Match Chairs in the Dining Room |

I say yes, but only in a small area. Stripes, a gallery wall over it, or only one wall with the rest white. Tiffany blue can become very overwhelming very quickly and if you're in a basement the lighting will only make it more overwhelming. Should I Paint These Walls Tiffany Blue? |

Corelle is my love. I grew up with it in my home (in a rather vintage pattern thought) and even now in college, it's what I reach for in my cupboard with the mismatched dishes from my roommates. I'm trying to build up a rather basic collection of solid white from them. Everything else seems too heavy. I also like that it doesn't break easily. I can't count the number of times I've dropped a dinner plate. The weird ringing noise it makes as it circles down to the ground has become very familiar. I started "filing" my shirts after I saw my friend's drawers. It is an excellent method. I also have my column files sorted by type. Long sleeved shirts go in one, short in another, and whatever other categories that might be necessary. 5 Tips for Organizing Dresser Drawers |
