There is a very wonderful flow going through your entire home. The transition between each room is seamless. It is really wonderful that you can mix in modern pieces with more traditional pieces. A good design is never finished. You will always find things to change or to add. That is what makes it so much fun. The retro feel is really enhanced by the unique collections you have on the bookshelves and the fireplace makes an amazing focal point. This an interesting design solution for a unique room. You have completely transformed the inside of a Victorian house which is not the easiest task. Bravo for picking a dark color. I agree in making a use for things that others don't see any potential. Thats a great idea...is it strong enough that you don't have to always worry about the shelf looking straight and level. Also, being an interior designer, I would recomend doing a stripe of the magnet from wall to wall to really pack a punch! What are the color options?
