I think it would have to be a dye job on a duvet cover with Rit. It turned my significant other "ombre" in interesting places. Probably should have rinsed a bit more. Tell Us: What's Your Biggest DIY Disaster? |

Great room with a fantastic color scheme. I really loved the framed "chevroned" elephant, what are you going to put in the stock IKEA frames? Everett's Grey & White Room with Vibrant Pops My Room |

Good to hear positive feedback from fellow small spacers. I'd love to fit a third in that nursery...but that will be a completely different story. @cherub -The shelf is from Land of Nod (cube collection) and they have periodic specials on shipping. Fabulous colors! You did such a good job of making all the fun prints work together. It is cheerful and soothing at the same time. I really love the crib sheets, I imagine they are as much fun to play on as they are to sleep on. Ivy's Modern Matryoshka Room My Room |

I love it, your son is a lucky little guy. I'm also going to check out those floor bed instructions if you post them. My daughter went through a stage where the crib was more trouble than it was worth, but the twin bed was still a bit high. She slept on a twin mattress on the floor and I still feel a bit guilty for that set up! Your frame would be perfect if I have the same problem with my next little one. Lovely ideas, thank you for the posting. With safe mountings like I see in the posts I don't think items put up that high necessarily register as toys to the little ones, unless perhaps you took something your child was already attached to and then plopped it up on the wall. (Hmmm...now that would be evil.) I have the CB2 Abacus attached quite securely high above my son's crib and it hasn't even begun to tempt either him or my 2 year old. I enjoy having something in the nursery with that kind of tactile whimsy, especially as we share a room with him and I spend a lot of time facing his nursery nook. I have wondered if it would be worth the effort to spray paint the frame white... Objects as Wall Decor in Kids' Rooms |

That is a fantastic idea! I always avoided sheet sets due to the bumper issue. I really like the wearable blanket too. They seem to have good unisex options as well. Skip Hop's New Bedding Designs and The Complete Sheet ABC Kids |

This is absolutely beautiful. The colors are so well chosen. I could see it being both restful and a fun place to play in. The mobile is super cool as well, it is hard to find attractive mobiles that would appeal to an adult and a child. Great job! Maeve Rosalind's After the Rain Room Nursery Tour |

I had a winter Colorado baby and babywearing was wonderful for taking her out and about. I dressed her in a coat over footie pajamas typically. Then I added a hat, sometimes a fleece blanket and zipped my husband's fleece coat around us. (Just make sure that if you do this that your little one's head is still clearly in view and that you could easily kiss the top of his or her head. You probably already knew that!) That way if it was a shorter outing, I didn't need to worry about overheating her or waking her up to take off layers once I got home. I could just unzip my coat and then remove her hat, blanket and unbutton her coat. I used a Hotsling at first and then a Bjorn and an Ergo. I do think many of the bunting ideas would be marvelous if you were on a prolonged outing or hiking though. My system would work for typical neighborhood walks, trips to the coffee shop, etc. Good for you for looking into this! The research will be all worth it when you get to head out of the house and enjoy the world with your new little one. Even a little journey a day can make such a big difference!
