My first college apartment was a quaint little circle of buildings, they were perfect for "starter families" or single parents, so there were a lot of young children scattered throughout the place. We were also located right next to an elementary school, it was such a cute little neighborhood. One day, a neighbor had a knock on her door from the police asking about the man who lived upstairs. They didn't run background checks on the residents and this guy was wanted for child molestation and other child/sex related charges in other states. And here he was, living in an area crawling with children. The landlords didn't seem to do much about it, saying that there was nothing they could do. It was a matter of keeping an eye on all the kids while they were outside, being a helping hand when they needed it, a babysitter while they ran to the store. In my first year of college, while everyone was referring to their dorm name or floor number, my roommate and I lovingly called our (first) apartment Langley, as we lived in Langley Circle. It was a cute circle of apartment buildings, all facing the middle which was a grassy area where all the kids in the circle would play. Stoughton's as-is section isn't too great, a lot of the actual furniture looks like it's been in a house filled with children for 10 years! But you can find lots of little things, my mom got almost a full set of pots and pans for my first apartment, they had just been in a display kitchen before hand but they were super cheap!
