Absolutely, me too, Allisonnf. I have that thing about cooking with lab glassware that many readers would have about eating soup out of a bedpan. Even if you know that it's clean, you still can't get over the ick factor.

Kojiberry, unless you have poor kidney function, your body fluids are always isotonic, no matter what you drink. Your kidneys (which run 1/3 of all the blood leaving your heart through them) will balance out all the hypotonic and hypertonic stuff you consume in a FLASH, your body will never see a significant change.

Thanks, that was helpful. Yes, I have kids, and oh, those baths were wooooonderful when I was preggers. They are nice also once in while for total relaxation- a splurge of water,

Why is everyone getting rid of their bathtub? Is bathing going out of style? I have the same bathtub-shower combo but have no idea how to renovate while keeping the tub. I want a tub. I want a shower. I don't have space to separate them. I haven't seen any integrated shower-tub combos on any of these before and afters. Help me?

I'm with Sagekitten, but would add that the difference between standing in front of a diffuse light source, such as a florescent ceiling light, and standing in front of a spotlight-like light source, such as you can get with track lighting, is significant. I think you would have dark shadows on your work if you installed track lighting and tried to use any of that light to work with. The under cabinet lighting would then be absolutely required.

I heard a lecture once that claimed all the energy we are saving by using CFLs is being compensated for by the increased number of lighting fixtures in our homes, specifically under cabinet lighting.

Is there a gorgeous diffuse light source you can install as the central light, and "go lighter" in the under cabinet lighting? (pun intended).

Many of them are very cool, especially those with very high ceilings above. But #2, #4, and #7 scream "fire fatality" to me. Sorry, but gorgeous has to be safe, too.

here's one I predict will end: tearing out bathroom cabinets and counters and replacing them with pedestal sinks... peple are going to start wanting that storage back. Same with open shelving in the kitchen.
