Oooh, good call on the Getabako, if you have the entry space, that seems like a great idea.

Kambykitten - yes, getting adjusted in my 200sf apt has been a challenge. A part of me actually did die ; ) when I first moved in. I'm thinking about entering the next smallest, coolest apartment contest...

I've got the small part down! Now just have to get the cool part ; )

Sparkle-

I have the same problem too! My apartment is about 200 square feet, and there is only one pint sized closet. I have an over-the-door shoe rack on the outside and boots line the closet floor. The whole thing looks terrible and the rack is cheap and breaks all the time.
Shoes take up a ton of space. I would love to hear some more creative storage ideas.

Darn, that would go so perfectly (as is) in my shabby chic bedroom!

Great piece, and best of luck to you.

I really dig this place. I especially enjoyed the funny description. The movie screen is AWESOME.

That couch looks absolutely delicious!

Nap time anyone?

I like the suspended window idea. Hang the windows down from the front wall, and behind it you can put whatever you want. Perhaps a collection of colored glassware, or plants, or framed black and white photos.

I am dying to know...how much do you pay for this place?

Honestly people, a dorm room? No way! YES - dorm rooms are about this size, but kids only live in them for 9 months and move on to bigger houses off campus. Jack living here full time and having invested in this tiny space is truly the essence of this contest.

I am sorry, but that jumbo light bulb is totally ridiculous! Maybe Giuseppe should add a gigantic lamp too, complete with an oversized lamp shade that takes up the whole entire living room.

Okay, okay. Kidding aside. The cow-hide rug in the kitchen is awesome. Also, the studio looks way bigger then it actually is - and that is obviously through clever design.

The contestants this year are really raising the bar.

I agree with some others about the couch, it does seem a bit out of place. Maybe a pristine white slip cover? Then add a luxurious chenille throw blanket in slate gray and some splashy throw pillows for that instant (and interchangeable) shot of color, and you would be set.

P.S. Love the doggy homage.

What is it about that living room...

Everything else seems so fluid, but the living room really jars me. Its just feels off.

That being said, the renovation IS quite innovative.
