HAHAHAHA! The comment about "I'd never heard him mention nor seen him eat chicken cordon bleu" really reminds me of my own fiance, who does this exact thing sometimes. It's really fun, though. Keeps me guessing :D But he does one food-related thing that makes me slightly insane. A lot of the time, he won't tell me WHAT he wants to eat. And then I make something, whatever, and after eating it he exclaims "how did you know that was the EXACT thing I needed?!?!". It's cute, but come on, help a girl out sometimes! I went to a wedding at the Clark Estate in Santa Fe Springs last year and it was beautiful. The wedding I went to was large and held on the grounds, but there is a stunning courtyard that can be used for a more intimate reception. The place is dirt cheap and feels really remote while being near the freeway. Really, check it out. @lazy_lurker I had the misfortune to spend a night on one of those sofas and my back has yet to forgive me. In my experience, they are extremely hard, and although they do look very nice, the harsh angles of the sofa do not allow for any kind of lounging. Personal preference, but I think you can find beautiful clean lines AND comfort in one sofa for less than 3000. Oh, and it recommended I buy a portable toilet, many books on hiking (which I hate), and a sports nose guard. My interests are triathlon, cooking, and decorating. I think this service needs some serious work before it becomes useful in any way. Oh, I forgot to mention the Thanksgiving "gobble gobble" dangly earrings. I love the glass balls, too. We made something like that into a grapelike cluster of glass and spherical light bulbs... I love it. If you wanted to paint, and felt absolutely compelled to, I'd recommend JUST painting the inside of the large window frame. Maybe a slate blue color. It would offset your yellow accents beautifully. But I agree wholeheartedly that you should leave the majority of the walls as-is and use accents to add more color. It's a beautiful space and I am jealous! When I moved in with my boyfriend, we bought a couple of major pieces of furniture together. It was great to see how much collaborating on reupholstery fabric (white ostrich vinyl on our barcelona chairs) for our vintage chairs brought a sense of joint ownership and responsibility to our new place. I have a pretty solid way of keeping living plants : friends move away, and leave me their already established potted plants. I water daily or every other day, and sometimes with a plant food. We have almost the exact same look, and put on really simple brushed aluminum pulls from HD. Were only like 2 bucks apiece, and it looks great.
