great bones, but a little disappointing decor-wise... i was so excited to click thru based on the cheerful exterior shots, but the inside seems kinda cold & barren. i know u've only been there a year, so I'm sure u have more u would like to do, but i think this place is SCREAMING for some colorful touches... the breakfast nook is so awesome & sunny w that great tree outside, yet it somehow manages to b a little boring & blah. the banquet is so heavy- i think balancing it w some fun throw pillows, a great rug under the table & a vase of beautiful blooms would go a LONG way in cheering the place up. minimal doesnt need to b stark & unfinished looking... i love the hexagon mirror installation & the wooden headboard wall- 2 great examples of simple, yet warm & welcoming.

gorgeous! love the kitchen & living room so much! great colors, art, style- but the one & ONLY thing I'm not a fan of is the dining set... gotta agree w herselftheelf on that one... compared to the simple/clean/modern/fresh vibe of everything else, it just feels so 80's & dated... something more in the style of the barstools or a vintage danish modern set would b so lovely... :)

omg i LOVE so many things about this house- great bones, gorgeous finishes, lighting, etc... that bathroom is AMAZING! however, i am not a fan of all the slipcovers. i think they look dated & old fashioned & don't go w the fresh, young vibe of the rest of the house.

anyone know where that cute lamp is from?

i try to go w the 3 must haves: LOVE IT, NEED IT or USE IT. hopefully a lot of things fall into more than 1 category....
for the things that i want to hang onto for sentimental value i ask myself if i can get the same warm feelings by looking at a digital photo of it & not have the actual item taking up space. usually the answer is yes.
for the things i want to keep "in case i need it someday" i try to follow that thru: what if i get rid of it & i actually DO need it someday? how easy would it b to replace or borrow another one? on a scale of 1 to 10 how upset would i b that i didn't have this particular item?

great job & congrats on tackling some DIY painting! i love the crisp white about 1000x more than the yellow, but would still prefer a light gray to make the moldings & beams stand out better... please DONT paint that awesome green lamp! it is one of the few pops of color u have- u def need more color in accessories: pillows, artwork, rug, etc... its such a nice, blank canvas now- its so much easier to c what direction u want to go in when ur not drowning in all that yellow...

opera REALLY LOUD makes everything feel epic & incredibly important... :)
